Hi everyone,
The car has a squeak noise when the car is cold and first started. It seems to go away once the engine has warmed up. Im thinking its a belt that needs replacing although the indicator on the tensioner looks fine.
Cant see the second belt tensioner that easily. Here is a sound
Water Pumps on the blink !
Only push bike's have 2 peddles !
How can I tell tell the water pump is on the way out? Also the noise appears to be coming from the passenger side of the engine.
Hey bud,
I had the same problem on my Wl, first start when cold it would go chi chi chi chi chi, lol until the car warmed up.
Anyway my fix was by replacing the belt, tensioner pulley and idler pulley.
It shouldn't cost more than $200 inc. parts and labour.
But u could just do the belt to start off with then see if the noise still remains.
Goodluck.
Cheers.
Dave

The tensioner pulley Ive replaced as it was the easiest to get to and I thought it was that
Although is there any problems in running the car without the belts attached for a few seconds to pin point the noise?
I was going to run it without the main serpentine belt and just the second belt attached and then the reverse as well?
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
Just to let everyone of the outcome, when it was cold this morning, I sprayed some water on the serpentine belt and it stopped the noise, so looks as though the serpentine belt is the culprit.
new belt tym? till then use silicon spray to stop the embarrassing noise.
Its not that bad, only sqeeks a bit for about10 minutes and then is fine. I've just purchased the belt although just need the time to throw it on![]()
