just driving home normally into my street had it in 3rd rolled into my driveway and opened the garage went to put it in 1st and my shifter is just stuck in 3rd gear. so just rolled it in, turned the car off pumping the clutch trying to take it out and its completely jammed wtf, scared if i keep forcing prob gonna bend something. any ideas really pissed off atm. clutch operation is fine. no noises, problems prior to this.
any help appreciated
have you checked the transfluid level? lack of fluid causes gears to stick but that usually has a noise before the gears no longer shift. i assume youve tried to change it out of 3rd without the car on. start with small things work up to bigger things.
I know its Hello Capitan Obvious but just a suggestion.

yea changed the fluid about a month ago nice and full. yea i tried to get it out of 3rd with the car on and off pumping the clutch
things you may want to check all guide pins and linkages, if there is any freeplay(side to side you may be able to wiggle it out of gear) in the gear stick?
if not that may suggest an gearbox problem. (others may tell you otherwise im no mechanic and i drive an auto)

i was reading on other forums, that the gear seclector forks have nylon pads on the end of them and they wear and fall off causing this and seams to be a common problem. they normaly get replaced with stronger bronze pads hopefully thats all it is and doesnt cost me too much
