Gday guys
My VT fitted with FE2 suspension (not sure whether that is relevent or not) has a problem that i cant seem to find unless i leave my car with a mechanic for a few days and i really dont like doing that... so i figured maybe you dudes could help
When im turning a corner, and the weight shifts from side to side, i can hear a knock coming from the front of the car, cant determine if its coming from the suspension or from the steering, but i can slightly feel it under my left foot when its on the foot rest...
it also happens at low speed when i go full lock... im fairly sure its steering... i know a bit about commies, and how they work, but ive never really looked into or understood the steering system in any car... but im starting to look into it now.
So yeah thats my problem, if anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be grouse![]()
any decent mechanic can find this in a few houres infact there is companys offering the service to find this noise for cheap
but my first guess without seeing the car would be sway bar bushes or links
Maybe get your steering rack checked, I got a mate in his vy ss everytime he turns his wheels he gets a knock found out it was his strut mounts and changed them and all was good, so might want to check them as well
Well thats what a mate of mine said, where abouts is the rack and tie rod end? Ill get under the car and have a look this weekend...
