Today i went to replace my brake fluid and swop the front rubber brake lines with braided lines.
It said in the manual that were the line meets the steel pipes , on one side of the bracket it holds using a clip.
Mine is one piece and it cant be taken out, unless i grind it out and get s new surclips to hold them in place for the upgraded ones.
Heres a picture![]()
I reeeeeallly dont know what the hell you've done to that brakeline coming through the guard?
Pictures arent clear, neither is the description. Hose from caliper scews into bottom of that bracket, which is where the metal line from the MC comes in.

The problem is in the gregory manual it says the hose is secured by a surclip onto the bracket which then connects to the metal line.
When i went to remove mine, there is no surclip and the hose seems to held there by a ring of pressed metal. (see photo 1) I even went to my local garage and he said its definetly not a clip and that the only way to remove the hose from the bracket will be to grind the lip out ( see photo1) and then get some surclips for my new braided ones.
Every thing else in fine this is the only problem!
Hope thats better explained now!
Thanks
Ben
Yeah I see what your talking about, I'm sure there should be a clip like this on there
Has your new rubber hose got any groove in it for the clip ?
No there was no clip like that on there , it seemed like a metal ring was machine pressed in there no way of getting it off.
On the bracket it slf it has the brake company logo stamped on it so im guessing it comes complete with bracket if you buy them from holden.?My dads mate whos been a machanic for 30 years has not seen it before.
I grinded the lip off so i could remove the old rubber hose, had to file the hole a tiny bit bigger to fit my new braided brake lines. Brought new surclips and put a couple of drops off a mig weilder to stop any movement.
I will post up pictures when i finished with them on the car.
Thanks for any help.
