Default VT 5L Clubby, drinking fuel and gutless!!

    Hi Guys,

Im brand new to this site so i hope im in the right area.

I have a VT 5L Clubby engine in a landcruiser wagon. Marks 4wd adaptors disabled the security in the memcal. The engine runs and drives, but its very heavy on fuel and has no power. The car is duel fuel also and to put into perspective whats happening, The engine has more grunt and is better economy on gas than fuel!!!!

When plugged into the scan tool, it will only recognise it as a VS v6 and even logs codes immediately after you delete them when car is turned off.

ECU and memcal are originally out of an auto clubby but is now a manual in the landcruiser.

The engine is freshly rebuilt (10 000km) old.

Does anyone have any ideas of what to look for or what to try to get this thing running how it should???

oi none of that , remember 5l's were designed for roughly 1.5t cars, not heavy 4wd's

Nah I'm going with Generated on this (+ a 3 in there somewhere).

Does indeed sound like an ECU problem seeing as its coming up as a V6? Thats obviously not right. As per power, there is probably heaps of it... I'm not 100% sure on the engines, but do have plenty of little neutons running around in the cylinders? Because land cruiser is like.. 2.4 ton? v Clubsport which is about 1.7?
