Hey guys,
Only new to the forums so forgive me if im posting in the wrong section,
I have just purchased a proximity based alarm/remote start system and plan to install it in my 99 VT clubby, just having problems locating some of the wires and hoping somebody can give me a heads up.
I am not a complete noob to installs as i used to wire stereos/GPS head units/central locking for mates/colleagues in my spare time. Just have that feeling that this one will try and give me greif :/
Wires i need to locate :
- left/right blinker (unit has seperate + feeds for both)
- central locking lock/unlock + trunk release
- do the vt's have a key-sense wire?
- if anyone has experience with the colour coding of the ignition barrel
it would be a huge help (saves time poking and prodding)
Have attached the wiring diagram of the alarm incase anyone knows where to find any other wires
Thanks in advance,
Jake
(Note this is for v6 i think there the same colors)
Left Blinker - Light Blue
Right Blinker - Blue.
Ignition Barrel color codes
Acc - Brown
IGN - Pink
Starter - Violet
Central Locking wires -
Violet white
Black Yellow
Brown Orange
Brown Red
Black red
I wont take all the fun out test the wires mate
Trunk Actuator
Black yellow
Black red
Hey mate,
Thanks for the quick reply
Colors are great and where would i find the looms that contain them? I presume the central locking is pulled straight from the drivers door but what about the rest?
Cheers, Jake
BCM (Body Control module)
You can find all the wires here.
Awesome, passengers side kick panel just to be sure?
No worries, Cheers for that![]()
clubsports have some extra security. I think you would be better off handing over to a professional
Thanks for the heads up but how do you mean extra security? Im set on installing this thing myself as most of the wiring is straightforward lol. I only say this as i have asked for prices to install around my area and nobody can give me any figures. Do you know if the clubsports have a keysense wire and if so what colour/ easiest location to find it?
Cheers, Jake
