I Have a VT Wagon untill today i had no idea why my foot well would be sopping wet, I found there is water dripping down the kickboard directly behind the
accellerator pedal and it only happens when it rains. So does anyone know where it is coming from and why?

i had this problem in my old car i pulled my carpet back under the dash and took the kick boards off then got a torch and shone it up under the dash then had someone slowly pour water over the screen....and followed the water trail.....you might have to have your screen seal redone
the good thing about getting older....more toysthe bad news more headaches
Do you have windscreen cover on your insurance? get a new windscreen in there and sealed up properly.
If insurance wont cover it, you should pay no more than about $200 anyway.
yea i dont think i do, I went out to the car today to find i had a 5-10cm deep puddle in the drivers footwell.. Is it possible for this much water to leak through the windscreen?
You will need to wait till the rain stops and then run the hose around the windscreen to see if its coming in through there. Peel back the carpet near the pedal area and see if there is a waterline running down.
Think yourself lucky that you do get a good bit of rain!
I noticed this in my VX.
Passenger seat flooring behind the driver was soaking wet and have no idea where the #### it came from after it had rained.
Any ideas?
(I sat in the car with a mate hosing the whole thing and could not see any leaks).

Anyone got any ideas? Please your help would be greatly appreciated!
My doors drainage holes are not blocked so is it safe to say its not the door?
Check the door rubbers also - cracked, broken or folded over.
if you have subs installed could it be the hole used to run the wire to the battery not properly sealed, i know there is a hole near the accelerator used commonly
