vt ss exhaust ls1

hey all just a quick question bout my vt ss. is it ment to have twin exhaust as in twin cats twin mufflers with twin pipes to the back with no rear resi or is that standard im new to gen 3s lol. and was also wondering if the stock cats are good for a mafless tune or not as i wanna make it sound better and go better it already has hsv extractors cheers

Definately not standard. Stock VT LS1 exhausts look just like the small pic in this thread here.

Stock VT-VX HSV systems look like this.

What size exhaust is the HSV one? 2.25? 2.5?

when i got my vt ss it had twin standed system but with no rear muffler box wasetn sure if that was standed but didnt sound lound eaither ,
Pacemaker twin system ,cats and extractors fixed that problem
