    Default Headlight Choice

    Hi guys,
im seeking some brightness from the vt headlights, should i look at HID kit or a set of projecter headlights?

If HID kit what brand should i seek out?

Also will the HID kit help with my SS spotlights in the bumper?
or What bulbs should i get for the spotlights? as all my lights are nasty yellow glow
    Cheers

i recommend these head light bulbs for ur factory head lights.
would work alot better with projecter headlights

I would also recommend these bulbs. Whatever you do, don't get those very annoying bluish bulbs.

yeah those blue bulbs shit me, they look some times ok but they put of less light so its got me f*cking why people use them
the bulbs in the link above are more whiter then stock but still have a yellow thinge to it to give it a stock look. great bulbs tho and cheap

Philips +80% and +100%. I haven't tried +100% yet but I'm sure they will be as good/better than the +80%.

If you want the brightest go with HID's and projector headlights. I have 35w HID's in my VT's there very good, but they preform even better with projectors I have heard.

    Sorry to hijack the thread,
Just bought a set of the ebay chrome projector lights with the fused earth wire, this looks dodgy and im considering rewiring them more like a standard set.
I have 1 H1 hid kit there from when i had the original lights in, should I buy another H1 kit and put them in both high and low or should I put the HIDs in the high socket and a pair of the Philips +100s in the lows?

thanks mate, the plan is for the hids in the high, not sure wether to get another set for the low or not? what did you use in the low? the philips globes appearantly wont harm lights by getting hotter, have had them in standard lights and sell a lot of them at work, definately a good globe tho

VT foggies are H3 globes. I've got HID's in my lows, highs & foggies. You've just got to spend some time with your headlight aiming so you don't blind every one. You need to aim them slightly lower& left than you would normally do for standard globes.

Navara Arctic blue. not really blue as the name would suggest, more white. Very good very bright light. and as someone who has sat behind my car i can vouch for the brightness and no silly blue look very sharp white with a hint of blue.

had this same problem with my aftermarket lights, the earth wire on each headlight (should have gnd written on it) needs to be earthed onto body, i just put them with the top bolt on headlight

probably not mate, most aftermarket lights use h1 in high beam and h1 in low beam, i had to buy complete new hid kit when i changed headlights. only way of knowing for sure is asking the seller though.
