Does anyone have any idea what could be causing a small crunching or crinkling sound from my front left wheel arch when turning at slow speed? I only really notice it when I reverse in to my carport, and it usually only happens if I have driven forward and then reversed (a three point turn is probably a good example). I can't think of any other symptoms that spring to mind but if more information is needed I will try and replicate it and take very specific notes.
Does it do it on the brakes. Many things you could check. Links, tie rod end, chassis bushes, strut tower bushes and bearings, shocks springs. Best advice take it somewhere for advice just encase for peace of mind.

My WH statesman was doing this, mainly when reversing and turning then going forward while straightening the wheels. worked out it was the radius rod to chassis bushes, so I replaced them while at it I did the link rod bushes.
radius rod = caster bar or strut bar or tension rod. many names for the same part.
anyway this seemed to fix the problem
....it could be the tyre rubbing on the wheel well covers they can un clip or a screw can fall out put your wheels at full lock both ways while stationary (engine on) and check the clearance from tyre to wall.
