ls1 turns on then shuts off. need help

hey i got a vx calais 5.7 it runs then stops after about 2-4 seconds i have replaced the plugs, leads, battery,alternator, the car started for a couple of days the the problem again. some help would be great, cheers

Have you checked your fuel level?..

Id fill up a jerry can of fuel and top her up..

See how ya go..

if not, then id say your fuel filter has done its job too well.. Change it.....

I tell you what it might be....& that is the key pad. You may notice that when you turn the key to on all lights go out except the battery light & the engine light. If the eng symbol light does not disappear engine will not start. Mine did the same thing & Holden told me there was a communication prob between the keypad & the immobiliser. If ur eng light is still on after most dash lights have gone out....leave key on till the eng light goes out.....it will go out but may take 3 to 5 min. Anyway try it n see how you go!
