gregories car manual supercheap round 40 bucks.. (gives instructions how to inspect, remove, replace stuff ect)
new steering rack reconditioned round 300 or less (ebay),,
new steering pump under 200 (repco)
    rough prices though..
should get new seals for the steel pipes with them.
if its the rubber hose leaking you can buy it by the metre for like 9 bucks at supercheap or somewhere like.
New steering fluid and your away!
    Just need time and effort
Then with change $$ buy sum mad wheels or exhaust :P
I need to re-flange my pipe into my pump, it leaks slightly, tried new seal.. still leaks think its been over tightned at one stage in its life..

I did my 1st power steering pump from my brothers VR(maybe VP no clue lol its fried) to his VR ute, the pump was suprisingly easy to take out and fit from the one to the other(even though my brother snapped the resovoir on his VR ute and we had to made a mount and bolt the sedan one onto the bay -_- idiot lol) as long as you know what your looking for its 4 bolts on the center and 2 big ones(from memory) and off she pops. Much easier than my 1st alternator.....self tension pulley must go down lol ^_^

    but yeah very easy

Replacing the steering rack is one of the first technical sorta things i did, i had a manuel which helped alot but ended up being a piece of cake. save yourself alot of money. the cars nice, nice seats and 5 speed manuel is always a bonus, not many pics on the exterior though, keep an eye on the paint work. See how well it starts and runs basically. id start at $8000 cash. you could find much better ones for alot less km for the same or cheaper price though mate. check this out 2001 HOLDEN COMMODORE S VX II Private Cars For Sale in VIC - carsales.com.au

Lol true that... I love that car but even if it had a roady I need my dads 2 grand haha so when I showed him his like no....it's a stand out car" and I was like that's the point but he thinks I'll have trouble with cops and shit so.... Its funny coz the only difference between this car and that one is the hsv body kit..
