hi there, i just brought a 98 vt calais 5.0 anyways i was driving it home last night and every now and then the high beams come on by them self also today when i went to unlock it the rear window went down by itself could this be a loose earth or faulty wiring or two completely diff faults?

The high beams coming on by themselves is often caused by faulty indicator stalk. I don't know a bout the window.

Yeah I agree with tha faulty stalk I just replaced my girlfriends one in her vt. Although I don't think the problems are related. Strange that the window went down

i had the high beams flash everytime i indicated, replaced indicator stalk and all good now :-)

my rear window is the oppisite of yours, if you put the passenger rear down you gotta be prepared that it wont go back up for about half an hour
