Just wanted to try and sort my wiper problem out.
the wipers seem to work fine on all speeds, except when on intermittent - if they are set to the fasted int speed they work fine until I stop at an intersection then they stop 3/4 - or adjusting them to a slower int speed, they go all the way up and down but park about 3/4 up from the bottom of the screen. if I then flick the wiper stalk to on they then start working normally.
also when driving in very light rain or passing a truck on a wet day (when I only need the wiper every 5 mins or so) I tap the wiper stalk down to wipe the screen they again stop 3/4 from the bottom, but if I hold the wiper stalk for about 3 seconds they will work normally...(do full cycle)
I'm assuming when on int at the fastest speed, then stop at an intersection, this has something to do with speed sensitive wipers. is this true or not.
what could be causing this problem, and where do I start looking for a fault ??? is there a relay or something that controls the Int. of the wipers ??
the car is a 2001 WHII Statesman
I did do a search for this problem but could not seem to get the answer..
ok seems no one has an answer for this problem, I swapped relays around but didn't help, so it might be a trip to an auto-electrician.
