I've just bought a Vt sedan roof completely cut from a car. I haven't picked it up yet but i want to put it into my vt wagon. Does anyone have any thoughts as to whether or not the rooflines are different or the factory sunroofs are pressed in? Am I looking at something way over my head?
Vt era 'factory' sunroofs were an electric hollandia unit. The roof profile for these units does not require a factory roof rolled edge form (hopefully makes sense). They use a special pinch mould seal on the raw edge where a hole is cut into your roof. Allow approx $1000 for a professional install.
Cheers

Im gonna give it a crack myself with my old man. Apprentice and master mechanic. I think I'll have to buy a special air nibbler to get a nice edge but if it's got a pinch mould and not a rolled edge sounds a lot better already. Thanks for the advice.
