Help identifying

Hey guys, I was recently changing the inlet manifold gasket on my vt (v6) when I noticed a hole just behind the alternator, under the plenum chamber. It looks as if a bolt is missing but I am not sure... I have oil leaking around the hole and it looks as if it has a thread but I'm not sure as to why or how a bolt could possibly have come loose.

The car seems sluggish even after minor mods compared to my mates stock vt so I hope this might have something to do with it.. Can anyone tell me what it is??

Just had a look in my workshop manual and it shows the holes but dosn't show anything that its for, :/

I know the hole closest is for the manifold but yeah a tad confused I don't think the engine was touched before I bought it but oh well we'll just wait and see what people say..
