engine light comes on
Hi
My vt has just had a reco engine n new radiator but in n the power steering bled now every now n then the engine light comes on but goes off if I pull over b turn the car off n start again wth could be makin it do this, Also my power steerin goes on tight turns could this be the pump on it's way out

Considering it has Had water in the ps system, I'd say something is gone!
Take the car back to the people who fitted the new engine and explain what is happening. Get them to check the power steering while you are there. They must have given you some kind of warranty on their work? Cameron P, what made you think there was water in her power steering system? Was it mentioned in another post? ie somebody put water in the p/s instead of the radiator?

N actually I'm a her that ain't a complete idiot, I do my own services n iv never had a problem, thx to havin a dad that's handy with cars, it was a #### of a rip off mechanic thinkin I would keep goin back for him go keep fixin my car when he was in actual fact the prick that was ####n it
If the engine light has come on there should be a fault code stored. I'd check for fault codes first then go from there
