my car has PMS

Since yesterday my holden vt exec has started not wanting to start, it winds over but doesn't kick. will start after a couple goes. engine light will come on and stay on till you turn car off and on again, and stalls in D when idling every now and then.. havent had any problems till yesterday... any ideas on what problems might be?

Could also be a fuel pump problem??? Not sure about the engine light though???

if its really got PMS you should be alright 3 weeks out of the month

i put an injector cleaner through it about a week ago could this be a cause of my problem? dirty fuel possibly?

My vt did a similar thing - i replaced my Crank Angle Sensor, Cam Angle Sensor and all was ok, could be your coil packs? or maybe the DFI module?

Once its going does it only stall in D? Could be worth changing the fluid.

I think you can check the fault codes on the v6 vts. Might give you some clues. As above crank angle, camshaft or coils would cause it to stall when you first start it.

Do the revs bounce when you let it idle? Check for vac leaks
