somethings up with my fuel system and had to leave vt at work
I remember seeing a post a year or more ago were someone new which way to turn one of the 2 blue adjusting screws
inside the lpg computer box so that there is no startup time running on petrol before it switches to lpg
it is a italian system forgot which brand
have you got a picture of the lpg computer
no was a ezygas installation, i am leaving now to see if i can get it to start
can you see a number on the module 299 294 ???
it is a sprintgas system, AEB 297 self learning feedback system, blue box with removable little rubber cover underneath is 2 small philipps screw electrical adjusting pots, the question is with one is the timer,
will check my paper work for this model processor and get back to you
finally found my paper work but not for the 297 module , going by the 295 module the RPM setting is done via the left hand trim pot clockwise for less rpm anticlockwise higher rpm
so what you are saying is that it waits for a certain rpm before it changes from petrol to lpg
In that case it is not posible to start on lpg only, it still need petrol to turn over
it can be set low enough to give a short prime time on petrol then crank and run on gas , from memory that module has a gas only start function , turn ignition on and hold the selector button for 5 sec i think it should engage the lpg system and gas only start . try that and see what happens
what does the other screw do and do you mean it switches to petrol at high rev
were do i get information on this lpg system
thinking of putting pod filter on but not sure were i put airflow sensor and the pipe runing from mixer to hole in airbox
what plugs, leads and gap size so i get
would like to have it running as dedicated lpg
turning the ignition on and hold the selector button for 5 sec worked well with fuel pump relay out thanks for that
ok found the paper work for the 297 module the other trim pot is for fuel overlap timing .
the pod filter should be mounted before the maf meter just as the air box is , the engine breather hose should be mounted between the maf and gas mixer ring , spark plug choice would be NGK BP6EFS with a gap of 0.8 mm , spark plug leads any good set of low resistance spiral core top gun ,IC&E , Bosch sport , many different brands all making alot of claims . why would you want to go straight gas on this vehicle as its all already running duel fuel ?
my fuel pump is playing up but I now think this sytem needs petrol under high load situations so will have to fix
these systems will not add petrol under high load like a injection system can , must have a secondary problem under high load , who did the install for you
I brought the car a year ago with lpg already installed i think it was a ezygas instalation i dont think they still exist
would anybody recomend a good gas mechanic in the outer east suburbs of melbourne
I have another breather hose coming from lpg mixer going into the airbox below filter were would i put this hose if i went to a pod filter
I have just destroyed my second airbox aaaarrrrrrrr
the second hose is it from the mixer or the convertor ? sounds to me its the balance line which should be fitted to the lower part of the air box for ram air so when fitting a pod filter it needs to be routed to the front of the car to pick up ram air . as for a good mechanic in the south east subs give me mate mick a ring at MECHSCAN AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES 87863989.
yes its coming from the converter
I bought pod spark plugs and leads and idle is alot better and top end power
I think i will get a little extender pipe and have pod inside airbox even though air box is a bit cracked should be quieter
read that if you leave pod filler screwed on loose if it does backfire it just pops off
