First of all i'd like to say that to who ever the dick head was that designed the lay out of this needs a solid kick in the nuts, i've owned a few vehicles in my time and this has to be THE most ###n retarded place to have a starter motor, i've
undone the steering arm and moved it as far over as i can after disconnecting the power steering lines, but the problem im having is removing the top bolt on the bell housing from the heat shroud that covers the starter, this is ridic, anyone got
any suggestions or advice as im really trying to restrain the use of the hammer right now!!cheers guys...
Sorry, I have no suggestions but can only agree with you 100 %. I recently started to remove mine just to service it but gave up because it seemed like a major headache. Hopefully I won't need to replace it for a while.
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
oh well, could be worse - lexus/toyota v8's have there starter motors underneath the intake manifold...
on my vn v8 they had to drop the steering rack and remove the left header![]()
