Hey all Im trying to fix my VX commodore so as i can sell it (would like to fix it properly so as not to sell a dodgy car and cause someone else greif). When I turn the steering to full lock while under load it makes a loud tinging noise and the car stalls. When I try to start the car again it won't start unless I let it sit for a short while. I am going to have the transmission checked this week as I think it may have some issues which need to be dealt with also, and maybe this is related to the noise. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanx.
Hey Mate.
Not Sure because we cant hear the sound. But Most cases after years of reading, Having the car stall while turning has turned out to be a failing fuel pump, but also since you have to let it sit for a while, This is generally the crank angle sensor. Could be both?
The stalling maybe unrelated to the ticking sound though.
