Shattered window

well guys woke up to a shattered window on my VT wagon this morning Car was parked in the driveway because they are currently re laying the road out the front of my house anyways dad asked the workers to come check it out so they did being very polite and cool about it but one seems to think it was already like that which leads me to another question why didn't he come tell us before commencing work. anyways there gonna speak to there boss and see whats gonna happen and I also noticed his colleague pick up a rock from directly under the door may have been a cowinsedence. (sorry dunno how to spell that word)

I have my doubt about someone doing it as we live it a quite area and this shit never happens but still if someone has done it, it shit me to absolute tears how other people can not leave others things alone they have no respect I was always brought up to have respect for others property and I absolutely hate property damage.

So my real question is any ideas of how much I'm up for if I have to pay for the damages. I hate this stuff I'm trying to save for a VE ute lol

Depends on what window? Since you mentioned the rock under the door im guessing one of the side windows? Assuming this to be the case, can you fit the new window yourself? I wouldn't expect to pay any more than $20 for a new window from a wrecker.

Um yer sorry mate rear drivers side window.
I would defiantly be willing to give it a try to do it myself I never thought about the wreckers I may have to give them a call tomorrow and if they don't have one what's my next option.

Looks like they asphalt company don't care they packed up and ####ed off just because one bloke said it was like that before. It was defiantly a rock from the machine that digs up the road and shoots it off a conveyer belt into a truck but oh well what do ya do.

you go to the council and complain your head off that there road works broke your window and they should pay for it.

other than that ebay is probs your best bet. done a quick search for ya.

Need a rear one will do a hunt around tomorrow and if it's not gunna cost me a fortune I'd rather do it meself, by the time the council ####en talks to me I'll have it done so. Take me like a day or 2 and if I have to deal with them it. Ould be months.

you should be able to do it yourself, ebay and wreckers. or also try glass places on prices as they might be able to track some down, like nrma autoglass. probably be a bit more expensive. I'd just get it done now and try make the council to pay for it. it will probly be a long process and you need a window lol..

All good Guys got a call today from the water board (it was there work site as they dug up the road to lay new sewer pipes and boral the tar company where contracted to relay the road) anyways the waterboard said they would pay for the damages so happy days will be taking to car to my dads mates workshop. Good thing to rang most wreckers around my area and they didn't have anything.
