    Default Ramjet otrcai

    Hey guys,
has anyone with a VT SS II fitted one of these?
after 2hrs of fiddling around i couldnt get it to fit. just wanted to know how others went?

i found the the MAF set up was to high above the throttle body to get it to work. any feedback would be good?

They are a bugger to fit, but worth it,
I cut the plastic radiator cover/thermo fan plastic down abit with a dremel so the ramjet would sit lower over the radiator to fit better or sit level with trottlebody.
Also i had to bend the airconditioning condensor inwards slightly to allow more room for the ramjet to sit better and line up with the throttlebody.
It is a hassle But very worth it, i would rather go to this trouble then use a less affective otr.

I had asked Ramjet about installing it and it is the norm to cut the radiator shroud/thermo fan plastic and bend aircon condensor on the older model commodores, I think the ramjet was more desighned for ve's but is interchangable, i think ve istalation is much easier.

hope this may help and give you some insight as to what you need to do.

You made a good chioce getting i ramjet i believe :P
Im sure once your over the installation of it you will be happpy with it :P

thanks for the reply mate. yeah i already cut alot of that radiator plastic off, maybe i havent cut enough. and yeah its a damn tight fit to get the ramjet down the front of the condenser.

guess ill keep cutting until it lines up haha

Ramjet otrcai-ramjetty-instally-006.jpgRamjet otrcai-ramjetty-instally-005.jpgRamjet otrcai-ramjetty-instally-002.jpg This is what i had done, bit rough but it worked. hope these pics help bro. ps haha see my saiko michi catch cans hidding in there..

BTW man i also find it easier when i install/remove to first take out the radiator rubbers the round ones on the side of the radiator, AND the top air condensor rubbers and this allows more room aswell, ITs tricky but once the rubbers are out get someone to hold the radiator up and back as far as possible while pushing the aircon condensor back aswell at same time and BAMO!!! ramjet should go in :P I would normally do this on my own, But its much easier if someone helps as full radiator is heavy to hold up and back with one hand. Then when putting the rubbers back in, well small amount soapy water helps as there dam well tight to get back in. Now LOL this is my procedure it works for me.
