In a V8 supercar they break every single weld in the car and reweld it with stitch welds so they can't spread if they crack, stupid holden quality welds lol
welcome to owning a vt/vx, 90% of us have this happen. especially if ur rides lowered to drive on shagged suspension on shitty roads lol
Get a strut brace it will help with stopping it from getting bigger.

how much do u think to get it welded??
???? WTF??? Have you ever seen a V8 supercar constructed??? They have been constructed from CDK shells for around 20 years. That means - they get a heap of pressings from Holden/Ford and piece the (fewwer and fewwer) factory bits together around the cage and fabricated parts. There are/were no welds to break. Back in the VR/S days most of the shell was constructed from factory pressings but the teams started with a pile of sheet metal in boxes, not a body in white like in the 80's. That method was phased out around the VN/P era.

I had this happen to me to get it done properly your car WILL need to go on a car-o-liner so as they can line everything up properly
You will also find that holden never welded these it is only some glue that they used, i couldn't tell you what it costs as i got it all fixed under insurance but i don't think it would be cheap
Any photos so others no where to check?
ok i got a mate of mine said he can weld it up like new showed me some jobs on his car and they look very neat and tidy if i do get him to do it is there any tip u guy have of either how he should do it or can he just weld it up??? as in strut angle that sort of thing??
hey mate is it next to where the top strut bolt is? i read somewhere on here that its not actually metal if this is the spot im thinking
