Default vt air bag light is constantly light up after removing seats?

i took both driver and passenger seats of of the vt the other night and when i reinstalled them i plugged the clips back in and then after i started the car the little airbag light is on the dash. the book says its the airbag/ seat belt pretension-er?
i was told to disconnect the battery for half hour to reset it but no luck?
    realy annoying lol...
    cheers for any advice

while changing the seats you should of have the battery unplugged. very very common problem.

you need to take your car to your local holden and ask them to fix it, if they are in a nice mood they will do it for free. otherwise your looking at about 100$ to fix.

    something like that i presume.

but im pretty sure if your in an accident your airbags wont deploy, and that will make your insurance void.

I had mine reset yesterday after changing the clock spring because I got knocked back for rego because the light was on. The guy who knocked me back wanted to charge me $80 to reset it, I got it done elsewhere for $20 and it took about 2minutes, max. So shop around for a fair price. A lot of places have the scan tool now, It was the local transmission place that reset mine.
I think the airbags will still work unless there is a definite fault, like a broken clock spring.

$100 is way steep! any place with a scan tool should charge no more than $30-$40 to do this! it literally takes less than a minute.

The light will only come if theres an error, i unplugged the dash in my bros VX and plugged another in and the light came on(communication error). I just took it to tafe and had fiddle with the tech2 and turned it off.
