    Default VT SRS/heater

    Morning All,
Trying to RWC my VT and I've got two main probs.
    1. SRS light stays on during driving. Checked clock spring connectivity (OK) and today will drive to wreckers and try another airbag. If that fails what is my next angle of attack?
    2. Leak in the heater core. Crossing fingers it's a broken hose, but if it needs replacing do I need to deactivate the air con? May not need to the heat for a few months, so is a working heater a prerequisite for a VIC RWC?

The best way to find out what is the problem with the SRS is to get the trouble code read and that way you will know for sure rather than buying things in the hope of fixing it.

I think SRS refers to the whole system. If you look at the horn pad and the passenger airbag cover you will see "SRS Airbag" written on them.

If an SRS code has been thrown due to a faulty part, I do not believe it will clear the light even after replacing the part. You need to get the codes checked and cleared at Holden. Other mechanics may be able to do it, I don't know about that.
