    Default auto gearbox dramas

    hi guys i am brand new to this site, ok to the story i have a vx ss and the auto is playing up. I have had a mafless tune and ever since then it has been funny changing into second, so dropped the pan did a full service there was no metal at all in the pan nothing to say the box was ####ed all looked sweet. last 2 days when u boot from say 60 and drop back a gear its like turbo lag will rev not go anywhere then kick in and take off, its not flaring between changes or sliping that bad just feels like its not getting power to the back its werid, has anyone had any similar dramas have been told it could be the tune on the box as they do that to any input would be great thanx guys

    i would say that the tune has put out the maping for your gear changes (the shift pionts) go back to where you got the tune most places will retune the trans to sute

    i had the same problem with a vr, i would floor it and it would be like it went into neutral for a second before it would take off ,possibly to do with the tune i had a chiptorque chip and stage 2 shift kit,corvette servo,never did find out why this happened.

    is it the same with the power button on? did you get transmission line pressure upped with the mafless?

    yea all the same with power button on rang them today its going back in on monday to have a look and they did up pressure in the tune

    As has already been suggested,it may be a mapping issue but there's a really good chance it may be simply a tuning issue.Start off with plugs and leads (I'm a bit of a fan of genuine parts),then perhaps a coil pack.Most transmissions today are pretty sensitive to engine tuning but apparently none more than a Commodore.

    i had the exact problem. it turned out to be the electronic shift down link on the side of the box. the bolts were loose and would cause it to slip into neautral then reingage

    hey guys got a question for you all ive got a vt ss 5.7 ltr lately ive had some issues with the transmission i put it in drive to take off and the ****** wont change gears till i get to 3000rpm then gotta take foot of and it will change or if im going to slow it jumps back into first i havent had any probs with the gearbox before? can anyone help thats just one issue i have im tring to get the box out to renew the main rear engine seal and ive had nothing but dramas has anyone done this themselves and can help im up to getting the top gearbox bolts out but cant get anything in there to undo them???
