Default WH grange exhaust too silent

Just bought the grange a few wks back and there is literally no exhaust note at all. I've had a good look underneath and i'm thinking the stock hsv mufflers and the suitcase sized resonator are the problem. Surprisingly it actually has a descent looking set of 4 into 1 headers up front. After that its factory cats, twin 2 1/4 pipes all the way, twin mufflers and an equaliser pipe. Any ideas on how to get this thing rumbling nicely.

keep in mind the 5L vs i'm used to sets off car alarms lol

I do a Manta twin 2 1/2" to suit the WH for $740 shipped to your door. Nice and deep with a throaty note when you get into it. Twin stainless tips as well.

I have a similar problem, I have a WHII statesman and the exhaust note is tooooo quiet, I have a redback twin 2.5" system on it. and is way too quiet, I am still waiting to get the headers and cats for it. I think I hate the idea of the X pipes on the system.. question for people that may know, with the system I have at the moment what would the sound be like with either straight through tail pipes, OR tail pipes with hot dogs... I have a feeling the straight through pipes would cause a bit of drone, and possibly be a bit too loud...would the hotdogs be enough to stop any major drone. I don't do a lot of highway driving so a bit of drone wouldn't be too much of a big deal...
and what are the thought's on the X - H balance pipes... and are they really neccessary...
i'm the kind of person that likes the sound of a V8 and I feel the redback system I have makes it sound like my old VT V6
under hard accelleration the WH does have a bit of a growl, but I think the X pipes balance the sound too much, I like the rumbling sound of a 1967 camaro etc etc.

I have twin hotdogs on the back of my WH it has Hm headers 4-1's, high flow cats and twin 2.5 with H pipe (I think its a H pipe), it came with the car its very loud and drones like cesna is flying above the car when cruising but roars like crazy when you get up it. I'd put up a vid but I blew my transmission lol.

The X pipe on the Redback system is more of a merge pipe than an X pipe. All it does is restrict the flow. Cut it out and fit separate pipes, you will get a lumpier, louder note.
