Reverse Light Problem

Hey guys got a VT exec.

For some reason i've only got 1 reverse light working.

Replaced globes and still the left one won't light up.

Any ideas, eg fuses i should be checking or anything?

Check the contacts in the globe holder for corrosion and check that it has a good earth.

I don't want to hi-jack however i have a simular problem with my WH Caprice.

Reverse lights are always on. Even if selector is in Park, Drive etc.

Got pulled over by the cops today & he was fairly adement that i should fix the problem otherwise he will defect me if he sees me again with same problem.

I've also noticed that even if i am in Park, Reverse etc that the dashboard cluster will always show "3" as the gear selected.

What could the problem be???

It could be the thing you suggested in another post, the inhibitor switch. Maybe a short in the wiring for the reversing lights.
