    Default engine cooling

Hello everyone, this is my first visit to your site, very interesting problems and solutions. I have just purchased a 2000 vt s2 model, driving home from the city I noticed the temperature gauge at 1/4 then once on the freeway it actually dropped to zero, remaining at this point for a few kms, I pulled over and popped the bonnet, felt the radiator which was cold, car seemed to run normal - not sure if this is the norm. Should this be a problem, what steps do I take to correct the situation. cheers Kenbo

Is there actually coolant in the radiator? If yes then is there a thermostat in the thermostat housing? If yes is the water pump in good working order? If yes then it's probably the coolant temp sender.
Cheap, fast, reliable.....you only get to choose two.

Lol I think If he didn't have coolant he would be posting a thread about an engine replacement. Or the temp gauge sitting at hot
