Aftermarket head unit
Hi,
I'm looking for an aftermarket head unit for my Calais as the stock one is pretty crap, are there any that are compatible with the audio control buttons on the sterring wheel? This is my first car to have these buttons on the wheel and I enjoy them alot...
if you do a search for steering wheel controls on this forum you should see that there are a number of black boxes that put into the oem wheel controls and translates the buttons onto most jap decks

you can have the controls on your wheel in use you just need to buy a certain cord for it. see your local audio shop they will help you.

most brands are compatiable... JVC, alpine, pioneer, eclipse however still need a loom for it.
Cheapest is $120 on ebay + $10 delivery (as at 01/10/11)
my JVC-KDR 626 is compatible and for $170 with 3 x rca and 2 x aux in + IR port ready its a bargin.
