    Default vt has no spark

    hi all help needed

    siezed a iddler pully and shredded the fan belt now car wont start after replacing the belt could i have damaged the crank angle sensor and should this be the first place to look there is also no spark

    any help would be great also i did the diagnosis check and i have fault 46 this is why im asking about the csa

    Quite possibly. It is pretty common for the belt to damage the sensor, but check to make sure the plug hasn't come loose first.

    It certainly sounds like you need a new CAS or maybe the wiring has been damaged.
    It's funny because about half an hour ago I wrote in a reply to a thread that something could be damaged if a belt breaks.

    ha ha maybe your theory is spot on i will check the wiring and replace the csa in needed

    well took off the hb and found that when the belt gave way it wrapped around the back of the hb and broke a piece off the cas 65 bucks and a bit of time and the problem solved a big thanks to the 2 people who replied
