Vx 3.8l 2001 lumina radiator leak not sure if it is trans cooler lines on side of rad

Hi All,
i have a vx lumina 2001 i have a slow leak which i think is coming from the radiator (trans cooler lines on side)
what i would like to know is if i pull the radiator out of the car carefully and leave it covered and block up all the lines and where the hoses go on the radiator and fix the dame thing in afew weeks would the radiator and block be ok with out coolant for that long.

your radiator will eventually crack between the aluminium and plastic part so why not replace the whole thing now whilst your having issues with it? i picked up a radiator, coolant and thermostat for like $200, you could probably find it cheaper as i needed it asap so i got it as cheap as i could

pulling the radiator out while its still connected to fix the leak?

and as said it will eventually crack and cause you alot of problems and more money, you can pick up a brand new radiator for like 100$ anyways.
