ok so changed the tps and nothing its still slipping it just seems to be random can any1 help
is it actually slipping or is your tranny light coming on?
you would be able too feel it slip, the revs will go up alot faster then your actually moving,
and since you've just had it rebuilt unless it was a VERY dodgey workshop, i dare say it's not the gearbox..
Was the workshop aware that you were getting the slipping error code (presumably DTC85)? The service CD says:
The PCM monitors the difference between the engine speed and the transmission output speed. In D3 drive range with the TCC engaged, the engine speed should closely match the transmission output speed. In D4 drive range, with the TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) engaged, the Trans Slip Speed should be -20 to +20 RPM. When the PCM detects an excessive transmission slip speed when the TCC should be engaged, then DTC 85 will set.
Was any work done on either the TCC solenoid or the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor)?
