Got myself a vu a couple of months back, the engine fan has stopped working...

Symptoms,
1 connecting negative wires to battery makes it run.
2 removing connector to temp sensor makes it run, check engine light turns on.
3 the flat connector that I know is on earlier models ( not sure about this one) is missing.
4 Relays appear to be ok

Would anyone happen to have had this problem, or has anyone got some insight as to what the problem could be.
A wiring diagram might be handy if someone has one
