I've finally paid my mum for my carmy Holden Calais VX 2000. I have a few questions though. Firstly, transfer of rego.I've got this vehicle registration transfer application which I'm filling out tonigh. I called up the insurence company and that's easy. But, I need to get a road worthy cert before, so I'll get it serviced, and a road worthy ontop of that.
A few questions. What should I do to it first? I plan on putting KYB and Kings on it to lower it, then I'd be keen to give it a deep note, but from what I know it's not legal to modify your exhaust, or am I incorrect?
Main question is what would I do to give it a nice note.
v6 or a v8?
V6* sorry I'm on my L's still (going for my test soon). I'd like a nice sound but don't want to compromise insurence.
you will never get a deep note from a 6 :P as for the laws here in QLD i have a v6 with pacemaker extractors and a 2.5" high flow cat back exhaust, never had any trouble with my insurance or the local cops. and ive told my insurance company about every single mod i have done and they are happy with it.
a mate also has the same type of exhaust as me, and never gets caught up on it.
This is going to be a silly question. If I buy this VT VU VX VY V6 Commodore TWIN high flow Perf exhaust | eBay and a set of pacemaker extractors, would they bolt straight on? or would I have to buy something different?
Your insurance is going to be high no matter what lol an exhaust and lowering doesn't effect it at all... Get a nice 2.5" exhaust and twin bump tips that's what i got on mine ;P As for the exhaust cant rally help... My mat did mine so... lol
I just put a link in my previous post, would that work fine?
Yeah it would.
Also, what about redback extractor's, would they be just as good as pacemakers?
