Hi!
Iv got a supercharged v6 with a cam and 120 pound springs and I'm getting a rattle sound coming from the top end area. The motors done 200,000 but has had bottom end rebuilt under warranty. It rattles under no load revving ie. Revving up to 2000, 3000 revs in neutral and when I'm driving in a low gear with it at 3000 revs no load. It's a ticking sound like really bad lifters. Or could be balance shaft bearings from what iv researched. Any help would be appreciated!
have you changed the oil recently - if you haven't I would suggest it!
Maybe try a bottle of lifter free or similair
I'd go on l67torque and have a search around there. If you can't find your problem on search ask the guys in there.
Sounds like the super charger might be your problem, I've heard some of the coupling gear in the blower snout wear out and can make this kind of noise-
Vs supercharged 6 makeing noise at front of supercharger near belt ideas whatswrong??

Yes I know, if you get anymore manly you are in danger of making yourself pregnant!
Its likely to be your coupling gear which it the connection between the snout drive shaft and the rotor gears. They're made of a hard plastic/composite material and with age/use slowly wear and develop the rattle you've described. Its a 30 minute job to replace it with a new one.
