Well guys here is my home made cai, well at the moment it's just a pod but i haven't finished yet, i am thinking of cutting the top half of the original air box to suit or i might make up a box from perspex. At the moment it is just injesting hot air from the engine bay. I hope i have attached the pic properly.

Doesn't look too bad at all. I had to make a custom intake from scratch for the old VN with light gauge aluminium sheeting but it did the job well. The only thing i will say will be a drawback is that the stock airbox may be a bit restrictive. There's a "how to" around here for a two hole mod on this type of airbox. Good work overall mate.

Your main cold air comes in behind the headlight pop your head in there and there is a hole under the light. If you want to keep original box cut a hole in the front and run ducting pipe to the hole. You can also cut a hole in the side next to the Otr intake and run it down under the car. I made a mace style last week. Got a 4" intake pipe to go on yet but working pretty good. I'm running the 4" intake and pod down further than it is and sitting it almost right against the hole under headlight. I was going to go the way you have but changed my mind. Both work well though.

Yeah, this is just a temporary one. I couldn't wait to put the pod on, so i did this in the supercheap car park quickly. My god! what a difference it makes, can't believe the response of the engine and it got rid off the flat spot too. I got my hands on some 6mm perspex for free(4 sheets 1000mm*400) so when i get around to it i will make a one out of perspex, it should look good hopefully, will post pics when done. Had a quick look at your one, it looks good mate, you've done a good job.

The induction sound is alot better too. Cold nights I can notice the difference between the factory on and this one. Was hot yesterday and was slow on acceleration. Popped the bonnet and could barely touch the box. Will pull it apart Tomoz and tweak it a bit. Insulating it with spray foam to keep the heat out let us know how the perspex goes.
