Default Intake, Pod? bigger throttle body?

    hey guys,
ive heard both good and bad things about the pod and throttle body mods, but i want to know is it actually worth while, and if so which one would be more beneficial, or would both be?
car is a ecotec V6 sedan, with 2 1/2 inch catback, thinking of taking out the rear muffler aswell, performance wise how well does what work with what, please help?

Leave the T/B alone... Place a pod filter on if you fell the need to spend some money..

Either one will do 3/5th of stuff all for power, economy and pull'n chicks.....

Pod just sucks hot air from the engine bay, forget the throttlebody its really just for wank factor and doesn't really flow any extra air unless you have other mods and the throttlebody is a restriction. get a cold air intake instead, also get some extractors and a hi flow cat. these things will make a difference.

Get a boxed pod filter, they still draw air from the front. As for your tb, get a can of carby cleaner and take it off and give it a good clean out. That can make enough of a difference on it's own depending on how filthy it is.

thanks, might leave those alone then haha, the hi flow cat and extractors are definitely on the list of things to do. Cold air intake may have to wait as im still on red P's so its no engine mods for me, i was trying to find a couple small things that may give me gain without being recognised the CAI stands out a bit haha thanks for the help though

I upgraded the TB and it didn't make any difference what so ever!

If you take the rear muffler off put a hotdog on instead of a straight pipe and extractors are worth it!!

Well this is not directly related to a 6 but a mate put a LS2 throttle body and manifold on an LS1 and while power increase was marginal the torque increase from 1500 to 2500rpm was significant and continued but reduced improvements were achieved through to 4500rpm on the engine dyno. So throttle body with manifold may be a good option.

If u have a cat back you shouldn't have any mufflers only a resonator.... Or am I mistaken?
