    Question Vt starting issue

I've got a starting problem with my 99 vt executive wagon.
Sometimes when I start the car it starts runs for a few seconds then stops
And wont start till you pull the keys out and lock the doors,
then unlock the doors again then it will start fine....
    Any help?

It could be a problem with the immobiliser, check to see if the security light is flashing when it stalls.

Replace the key head. $130 from Holden. Mine did it a couple of months ago. Give it a couple of weeks and it's going to be a b/tch to start. When it does put key in and turn it to accessories back and forth smoothly about ten times then start. Seems to trick the immobilizer. Holden said the key head should be replaced as soon as it shows wear. About every 5-7 years.

Just in case you are not aware, the new BCM needs to be linked to the ECU or it will not start.

    Yeah thanks Matey,
I went to the Auto sparky today to get my aircon looked at and was talking to him about it and he said its the BCM and that he's got the gear to "link" it to the ECU..........BCM+Key= $380 at the local Holden Dealer.
