VT Staggering

I have a 1998 VT and while im driving it always jumps at 1500 revs, as soon as i press the accelerator to 2000 revs it stops. Please help as i dont want to do damage, thanks

Sounds like a missfire. Changing plugs and leads should fix it. Pretty cheap and easy to do yourself
