    Default re calibrating fuel gage

    hi guys
    had my fuel pump replaced but now my fuel gage is out of wack when i fill it up it says its a 1/4 under on the gage
    when my warning light comes on at 65 litres left i still get about 150 km out of it how can i fix this

    When i replaced mine i had to adjust the float level. The bottom of the float should be 20 mm higher than the bottom of the fuel pump .Just put it on a flat surface and bend the float lever to suit . mine was 10 mm under and i had similar troubles after replacing my pump.

    Yeah if they bent the float arm it will affect the fuel gage.. It might depend on the model but on the VT the distance between the bottom of the float and the flat surface/bench I thought should be 10mm.

    Sorry my bad , i should have read mine was 20mm and the proper distance should be 10mm
