VT 97 model V6 engine problem

Engine overheated and split the radiator top hose but i got a new 1 and now the engine sounds like somethings hitting the sides of it when the revs are over 1500 have no idea what it is. Does anyone know what it may be?

Did you top up the coolant and bleed the system?

Replacing a part that failed due to a problem, does not fix the initial problem. Why did your engine over heat? What were the conditions? Did your thermos kick in? Did you not notice your temp gauge creeping up?

A common problem is loosing coolant due to a dodgy radiator cap. It lets air into the system and in turn could cause the car to overheat.
