Vu v6 idles at 2000 rpm and runs like a bag of Sh*t

Hi, as stated i have an 01 vu v6 5 speed manual. It has been running a little rough lately and has been getting worse. I replaced plugs leads and tested coil packs as it was misfiring sometimes onlyu when i accelerated lightly or just touching the throttle. It has no become alot worse it died on the highway doing 110 just cruising the other day and is now idling at 2000 rpm sometimes come down to normal but is getting worse. I also replaced throttle position sensor about 6 months ago so i cant see it being the problem. I dont want to spend to much $ just to get someone to look at it. Any help would be great! Oh also new fuel filter i should add and its regularly serviced.

You could try cleaning the IAC valve and the throttle body with carby cleaner. The IAC valve (or motor) controls idle.
