for the last week, i've had a rotten egg smell drift through the car..... i cant work out where its coming from, but its not going away
either what he said ^^^ or did you gut the cat yourself ???? if you did thats where the smell is coming from.
Take it easy...But do take it...
Do not argue with an IDIOT.
He will just drag you down to his level an beat you with experience.
Some people take me the wrong way, Like smacking up Marijunna.
I was going to suggest a rogue ice break bottle but cat sounds more likely!
thanks guys, atleast with the warm weather i can drive with the window down......for afew days
It's the battery. I found this after googling it as I recall years ago it happened to me and it was the battery.
If an automobile battery is in normal condition, there should be very little smell from it. The one smell that you should be aware of is the smell of rotten eggs, which indicates severe and dangerous problems with the battery. Once a battery begins to smell like rotten eggs, it cannot be saved, but must be immediately replaced. Please be aware that rotten-egg batteries can explode. Rotten-egg batteries are frequently much hotter than normal batteries would be, and the hot rotten-egg batteries are the most dangerous. The most common cause of rotten-egg batteries is an alternator which constantly overcharges, so the alternator should usually be replaced along with the battery.
i gutted my cat last year, worst mistake i made, made the car stink of rotten eggs, i replaced my cat straight away
you probably just farted? happens to me all the time![]()

If its the rotten egg gas smell that you can sometimes smell coming from from the exhaust, then this shows the catalytic converter is working ok and is converting the exhaust gases into different gases that are less harmful for the enviroment etc..The smell slowly gets less noticable over time as the catalyst inside the converter wears out.(they last for years though). We used to load new cars onto trucks and swap them between trucks, and all the brand new cars exhaust fumes smelt badly of this rotten egg gas.Its the same when a brand new car overtakes you, they smell pretty bad. They are not as bad though as they used to be when we first changed over to unleaded petrol here in oz.Some of the first unleaded cars exhausts smelled really bad all the time.A lot of people think that if they can smell this rotten egg smell, the catalytic converter is stuffed. This is not right. It actually shows that its working.
I have no cat in my car, never did and there has never been a rotten egg smell from it since they banned leaded in the late 80's
IMO all this talk about the cat working is shite.
New battery go get one before it explodes . Trust me it ain't pretty
