Hey everybody,
im just wondering if i had a vt wagon, will a chev 350 bolt in, i know ill need to change all electrics, fuel, etc. but will the gen3 engine mounts just bolt straight up?

anyone????
G'day bud,
I am looking into the same deal for my vt sedan... replacing my v6 to a v8 .Ls1.
Did you get any help yet ?,I am curious to hear if you went through with it.
I think a lot of people will throw u a quick answer like ..(Sell yours and buy one with a v8 already fitted )..It makes sense but if your passionate about your car in particular ,I know where your coming from!
I see you posted this sometime ago but if your still on please let me know how you went .
it can be done if thats what you really want(personally i wouldnt but thats me). just get a vt ls1 subframe & bolt that in. change your front suspension to suit ls1. motor & box will usually come with all your wiring harness & computer. your instrument cluster will have to changed or recalibrated. change the diff to a v8 version. install larger vt ls1 radiator & thats about the basics in a nutshell. a weekend of stuffing around & your done.
total cost all up around 6 grand in parts, possibly cheaper if you hunt around or buy a complete damaged car for all the bits.
A pessimist is a man who thinks all woman are bad. An optimist is a man who hopes they are
WTF!!!
The thread is 5yrs old. Do you people sniff petrol?
You can put a 350chev in a VT. You CAN fit an LS1, they're not the same thing.
