We recently had the waggon converted to LPG.
Now the Check Engine light comes on sometimes, stays on for a couple of minutes, then goes off again.
Any ideas what may cause this?
Everything else appears normal.
Cheers,
JG
That much I knew.
But how to check fault codes?
I have a OBD cable to fit, and I have a lap top, but I need some software to actually read the codes. Any suggestions? (preferably software I can download from the internet).
Cheers,
JG
I don't know what you know or don't know, I can only go by what you've written and you didn't ask how to read the codes. You can check your codes without any laptops or software. Do a search on how to read fault codes. Just type in fault codes and you should find something. I've posted it many times but can't be bothered finding it again.
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
Sorry, that comment of mine was not ment to be scartastic.
Thanks for the advice. (Again, not being scartastic.)
Cheeers.
This morning, the car started stalling and making a crackling noise (as reported by my wife - I am deaf, so couldn't hear anything)while running on LPG.
So I switched to petrol (on my way to work), and it is idling very high - around 1,200 RPM (in drive while stopped at the lights).
As I was running late for work, I have not had a chance to have a look at the engine bay, but it sounds like a loose connection somewhere.
Anybody experienced with LPG who could point out where to look?
(And I have not had a chance to look at the error codes as yet).
Cheers.
