    Default VT Overheating problems....

Everything seems to be going at the same time here!

Just replaced idler tensioner because it was squeeling and throwing belts.

Now its starting to over heat everytime i drive it. Thought it may have been water pump so iv taken that off and it looks okay. New one is going on anyway.

Everytime i drive it on gas after about 50 Kms it would start stalling and would not run at all and it smelt like a leak was coming out the front of the motor. It runs fine on petrol but also after about 50 kms when i stop i can hear an air leak coming from the front around the same area Have i F*^*^*cked the head
    or the head gasket?

Also if this makes and difference my air con will not heat up and will only stay on cool. Will (The heater tap) have anything to do with it?

Annnd. I took the pully on the bottom right side of the water pump off to make it easier to get the water pump bolt out and the collar that goes on the inside of the bearing for that pully is sheared off.. it came off with the pully. is this bad? what is that pully attached to ? the block? Sorry for the confusing questions.

    Cheers.

For your heating problems check your heater tap because there plastic and crumble to bits and is a common problem I'v replaced one in every ecotec I have owned lol. and for the other over heating problem have you replaced your thermostat because my wife's vt had a F^%$ed thermostat and was over heating all the time

If it happens when the engine is running then check the purge hose at the bottom of the throttle body. It is a curved hose and they often come off.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
