Default How can you tell if your inlet manifold is leaking???

I own a ss thats been cammed /OTR / extracters with a tune

I recently took all the TB and inlet manifold off to replace the PCV valve which was split and causing idling problems, it would only happen when going from high revs to nothing and it would dip to much a stall.

While i had it all off i cleaned everything up and got a mate to clean my injectors at a garage.

It doesent dip any more which was the problem i went to fix, but now the revs move up and down very slightly on idle.??

Could this be a air leak as i did not replace the rubber gasket ??

Or when you disconnect the battery does it reset the computer meaning i need it tuned again??

If any one has any ideas it would be great as im not sure what to do 1st??

buy a can of aerostart and spray it where you think the leak is whilst the motor is running. If it's leaking the revs should increase. Be *very* careful though and make sure there are no more sources of ignition as aerostart is more or less petrol in a can and will light up. Only use small squirts in the area you think could be the problem.

I know mine will move up on idle and then down again and idle fine on the odd occassion when I'm idling in my driveway etc.
Only does it in Park, doesnt seem to do it when I'm at a set of lights etc.

It'll only do it once though. Not sure if your problem is occuring constantly or if it's similar to mine ?

Mine is doing it constantly , and it only started doing it since i took off the inlet manifold and cleaned. I will check if its leaking 1st of all and then take it from there.
