2000 VT holden senator cruise and traction control

VT traction and cruise control only work if trailer plugged in ??

1993 VR CALAIS 5 SPEED MANUAL,Lowered all around on pedders, 20 inch G8s, Option audio front splits, option audio amps, sound stream subs, pace maker extractors, high flow cat, 2.5inch lukey cat back exhaust
If you take off the boot lining and unplug the trailer loom does this fix the problem?
1st question, is this a factory installed tow harness?
2nd question, if not then you have spliced into the wrong wires and need to have the wiring harness put back to its original state.
What part of the country are you in,I got a 98 vt senator.
